The Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Naples Federico II, which hosts CSEF, has been awarded the status of “2023-27 Department of Excellence” by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.

The grant of about 6.5ME will be used to create a Data Center for the analysis and policy evaluation of economic and financial issues, and for the recruitment of young researchers.

The project will be directed by a Scientific Committee including Antonio Guarino (UCL), Frank Riedel (Bielefeld University), Luigi Pistaferri (Stanford University) and CSEF Fellows Maria Gabriella Graziano, Antonio Acconcia, Tullio Jappelli and Marco Pagano.
