The Department of Economics and Statistics (DiSES), in collaboration with the Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF), is organising the 3rd Badolato Labour and Organisation Workshop. The significant international event will take place in Badolato Borgo from July 10 to 12, 2025, at Palazzo Gallelli, focusing on labour economics, family economics, and education economics. At the conference, over 40 scholars from around the world will present and discuss their research on institutional systems and labour market reforms, with a particular focus on how these reforms affect families and businesses. Key topics that will be addressed include:
– gender gaps in the labour market;
– the effect of smart working on workers’ careers;
– the impact of immigration on the labour market;
– labor market inequality and the role of technological progress.

Plenary sessions will be delivered by Ray Fisman (Boston University), Maria De Paola (INPS and University of Calabria) and Christian Dustmann (University College London).

The event is organised by Roberto Nisticò and Tommaso Oliviero (DiSES), with organisational support from Alessia Abbate, Antonio Genovese, Lorenzo Incoronato, Stefania Maddaluno, Sara Moccia, and Tiziana Venittelli. The initiative is funded by the Department of Excellence 2023-2027 and PRIN 2022 projects, which are currently ongoing at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Naples Federico II.
