The Department of Economics and Statistics (DiSES), in collaboration with the Center for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF), is organizing the fourth edition of the Badolato Labour & Organization Workshop, an international conference on labour economics and the organization of firms, to be held in Badolato (CZ), Italy, from 9 to 11 July 2026.

During the conference, leading national and international scholars will present research on labour market institutions and reforms, with a particular focus on their impact on firms and households. The programme will cover several timely and policy-relevant topics, including workers’ mental health, the role of collective bargaining, the effects of labour market shocks, and the impact of teachers and mentoring activities on students’ academic outcomes.

Plenary sessions will be delivered by Tullio Jappelli (University of Naples Federico II), Barbara Petrongolo (Oxford University) e Luigi Pistaferri (Stanford University).

The conference is organized by Roberto Nisticò (Department of Economics and Statistics, DiSES), with organizational support from  Stefania Maddaluno. Financial support is provided by the University of Naples Federico II (2026 University Fund for the Dissemination of Scientific Activities), the Center for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF), the UniCredit Foundation 1st Education Research Grant currently hosted at CSEF, AMEF, and the DiSES Department of Excellence Project (2023–2027).
